Kwanzaa Storytime

Kwanzaa is a celebration that honors African heritage. Observed from December 26th to January 1st, it includes a feast on December 31st called Karamu. Kwanzaa celebrations include singing, dancing, storytelling and African drums.

To learn more about the holiday’s roots in ancient African customs and how it is celebrated, join us at the Lancaster Public Library on Wednesday, December 27, where we will celebrate in song, dance, craft and lighting the Kinara.
