The African American Cultural Alliance’s Creative Futures program helps Lancaster youth discover their talents, build confidence, and prepare for their future through performing arts, education, mentorship, and community.
Through dance, drum, band, and cultural arts, young people develop creativity, discipline, teamwork, and leadership while receiving homework help, academic support, mentorship, college tours, and college and career preparation.
At the heart of Creative Futures is “The Village” — a community where every student is valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed. We help young people recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, explore new opportunities, and believe in their potential.

CHAOS Prayze is a dynamic after‑school praise dance program designed to uplift youth through movement, faith, and creative expression. Students learn choreography rooted in worship, discipline, and unity while building confidence, teamwork, and spiritual identity. The program provides a safe, inspiring space where young dancers can grow, connect, and discover their purpose through praise. CHAOS Prayze empowers every child to move boldly and shine brightly,.
Feel the Soul Line Dance is a fun, high‑energy program that brings people together through rhythm, movement, and community. Participants learn classic and modern soul line dances while building confidence, coordination, and connection. It’s a welcoming space for all ages to move, laugh, and feel the music—one step, one groove, one soul at a time. The program encourages healthy activity, joyful expression, and cultural unity. Every class is a chance to shine, socialize, and celebrate the spirit of soul dance.
The Infamous Unstoppables Drill Team & Drum Squad is a powerhouse youth program built on discipline, precision, and unstoppable energy. Our drill performers and drummers train to master sharp choreography, dynamic rhythms, and high‑impact routines that showcase skill, teamwork, and confidence. The program creates a structured, motivating environment where students learn leadership & commitmen. Infamous Unstoppables empowers young people to rise, represent, and make their mark with every step and every beat.
The Lancaster Community Gospel Choir is a powerful, spirit‑filled ensemble dedicated to bringing people together through the joy and unity of gospel music. Singers of all ages and backgrounds join their voices to celebrate faith, hope, and community through dynamic harmonies and heartfelt worship. The choir provides a welcoming space for vocal growth, fellowship, and artistic expression, inspiring audiences with every song. Rooted in tradition and driven by purpose, the Lancaster Community Gospel Choir lifts hearts, strengthens community bonds, and keeps gospel music alive in Lancaster.

This exciting celebration features national entertainment, live music, cultural performances, carnival rides, local vendors, delicious food, family activities, and educational experiences. The fair provides a platform for local artists, entrepreneurs, businesses, and community organizations to connect with residents and visitors while showcasing the richness of African American culture. More than a festival, the Cultural Fair creates unforgettable experiences, strengthens cultural pride, supports local businesses, and celebrates community.
State of Black Lancaster is an annual event that brings together community members, leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to examine the current conditions, achievements, and challenges impacting Black residents throughout Lancaster County. Through community dialogue, and shared experiences, the event highlights progress, identifies disparities, and explores opportunities in areas such as education, health, economic development, housing, and civic engagement. Held once each year, State of Black Lancaster serves as a platform for accountability, collaboration, and action, empowering the community to advance equity, celebrate accomplishments, and build a stronger, more inclusive future for generations to come.
Kwanzaa Story Time is an annual family-centered event that celebrates African heritage, culture, and community through storytelling, music, and creative activities. Designed for children and families, the program brings Kwanzaa traditions to life by sharing engaging stories that highlight the seven principles of Kwanzaa, known as the Nguzo Saba. Participants enjoy interactive reading sessions, cultural performances, arts and crafts, and opportunities to learn about the values of unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith. Kwanzaa Story Time fosters cultural pride, strengthens family connections, and creates a welcoming space for learning, celebration, and community engagement.
Juneteenth Block Party is an annual community celebration presented in collaboration with the NAACP Lancaster Branch and the Spice of Life Foundation. This family-friendly event commemorates Juneteenth, the historic celebration of freedom and resilience, while honoring Black culture, heritage, and achievement. The block party features live entertainment, local vendors, cultural performances, food, health and community resources, youth activities, and opportunities for civic engagement. Bringing together residents of all backgrounds, the event promotes unity, education, and community pride. The Juneteenth Block Party creates a vibrant space for reflection, celebration, and connection.

Harambee Collective is the African American Cultural Alliance’s platform for connecting, supporting, and advancing Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals throughout Lancaster and beyond.
Inspired by the Swahili principle of “pulling together,” Harambee Collective creates opportunities for networking, collaboration, business development, visibility, and economic growth. Through signature programs such as the Black Business Mixer and Black Business Expo, entrepreneurs and business owners connect with one another, build valuable relationships, showcase their work, and access resources designed to help their businesses thrive.
